Re-packing the Pre-pack? What future for connected party sales in administration?

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talk

Description

The pre-packaged administration has evolved to become a key tool in the UK Insolvency Practitioner’s toolkit. Often viewed as a controversial process, especially when involving sales to a connected party, a range of industry-led measures were introduced in 2015 to provide transparency and improve outcomes following the recommendations of the 2014 Graham Review into Pre-Pack Administrations. As part of the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 reforms, enacted in late June 2020, the Government’s power to introduce regulations on sales to connected persons in administration has been extended to June 2021.

The webinar considers the effectiveness of the measures introduced in 2015 and the need for further reform.
