Description

The AIM Lab has been built to support world class research in the field of mobile human computer interaction. It allows us to model real world contexts for the performance of controlled lab based evaluations of mobile technologies – thus the lab is simultaneously able to ensure repeatable precision and control afforded by lab-based evaluation approaches whilst returning evaluation results that are meaningful, and have immediate relevance, to technologies’ intended real world contexts of use. The AIM Lab is configurable and flexible to the specific needs of individual research and evaluation protocols– be they for mobile or less nomadic systems. Especially noteworthy is the capacity for the lab to evaluate the influence of environmental conditions and distractions on the use of technology.
