I joined Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering Group as a Lecturer in September 2014. Before starting my postgraduate study, I worked in the industry as a Mechanical Engineer for 6 years. In the industry, I worked on boiler, dual-fuelled engine generator, gas engine generator, cooling tower, process design and optimisation, and mechanical maintenance of heavy machineries. Currently, I am working on waste derrived biofuels upgradation and blending, development of biofuels based poly-generation systems, waste heat recovery, and engine parameters modifications. I am working closely with the researchers of the European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) at Aston on the development and use of second and third generation biofuels. My other research theme is solar PV powered brackish water desalination techniques combined with green house cooling system.
