Biography
Dr. Alhaleem Mohamed joined the School of Health & Life Sciences at Aston University as a Technician in January 2023, and was successfully recruited to the position of Biosciences Technician responsible for the contemporary Tissue Culture Facility at Aston. He previously worked in the private sector for a contract development and manufacturing company, developing synthetic DNA and viral/non-viral platforms for gene therapy. He graduated from Newcastle University with a PhD in March 2021 and investigated the relevance and deleterious role of the zinc-ZIP8-MTF1 signalling axis identified in murine chondrocytes using human chondrocyte cell lines and primary cartilage cells derived from human osteoarthritic joints.
