    General

    II have worked in audiology as a Hearing Therapist for 25 years. I now specialise in the rehabilitation of balance patients at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. I started working on the BSc (Hons) Audiology programme in 2003 and became programme director in 2007.  I have also been involved in a number of Department of Health initiatives e.g.
    • The Global Rating Scale for Audiology
    • Tinnitus Good Practice Guidance
    • Professional body lead as a member of the curriculum working group for Modernising Scientific Careers

    Teaching Activity

    I teach on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and my main interests are around enabling patients to manage long term conditions.

    • 1988 - Date: Birmingham Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Senior Hearing Therapist. Specialising in the delivery of rehabilitation for patients with balance disorders as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach

    • 2007 - Date: Aston University, Director of Audiology Programmes. Leading the development and delivery of the BSc in Audiology, the Foundation Degree in Hearing Aid Audiology, MSc Clinical Science and a range of continuing professional development activities at Aston University
