    Biography

    I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics at the Department of Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship at Aston Business School. I hold a BSc in Economics from University of Patras (Greece), an MSc in Economics from London School of Economics (UK), and a PhD in Economics from Ghent University (Belgium) during which I spent a semester on a research stay at London School of Economics (UK) and the National Bank of Belgium.

    Before joining Aston University as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics, I held research posts at the University of Oxford (UK) and KU Leuven (Belgium) where I was involved in various externally funded research projects and served as a consultant at the World Bank on various projects.

    Currently, I am also a UKRI Policy Fellow at the Scottish Government, the lead Research Fellow for the Global Value Chains research theme at Aston’s Centre for Business Prosperity, a research fellow at the Department of Economics at Ghent University, an academic visitor at the Bank of England, and have ongoing projects at the National Bank of Belgium and with the World Bank.
