    Research Interests

    My research interests lie in Second Language Acquisition, Study Abroad, L2 Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics and Language Variation.


    I hold a PhD in Applied Linguistics from University College Cork (Ireland) and a PhD in Human Mind and Gender Studies (curriculum Languages, Linguistics and English for Special Purposes) from the University of Naples Federico II (Italy).

    Membership of Professional Bodies

    I am member of international academic networks, such as the SAREP project, funded by the COST agency, and the interuniversity research centre I-LanD (Identity, Language and Diversity) at the University of Naples L'Orientale. I am also a member of the research clusters "‘Violence, Conflict and Gende" and "Spatial Humanities'/Spatial Studies" at University College Cork.
