    Biography

    Dr Cain Evans is co-Programme Director MSc DTSS Degree Apprenticeship based in the Engineering and Physical Science College (EPS) School of Engineering and Technology (APEC).

    Dr Evans has been lecturing for over 24 years in the UK and Far East in Computer Science subject areas, including software engineering.

    More recently since 2020 leading DA programmes and delivering modules for undergraduate and postgraduate degree Apprenticeships in the UK.

    He has been involved in Computer Science research predominantly in the areas of Context-aware/LBS/Intelligent Systems- Mobile systems, Smart-Care Spaces (digital health),  software applications.

    He has extensive experience engaging with universities in the UK and overseas (TNE) as an external examiner at a number of UK universities.

    Prior to becoming an Academician, he was working in industry at Rolls-Royce/EDS as a Systems Engineer.

    Current Research Interests:

    His current research interest includes multi-inter-disciplinary research in Software Engineering, Cyber Security and AI (Data Science/mining), including pedagogical research.
