Biography

Dan Dai is a Lecturer in Computer Science at Aston University. My research interests are focused on AI-enabled Digital Twin systems in manufacturing, with core interests in Generative AI for realistic 3D reconstruction and simulation, Predictive AI for defect forecasting and process optimisation, Explainable AI for root cause analysis and transparent decision-making, and Agentic AI for autonomous control and adaptive execution. Leveraging deep learning and multi-modal data integration to build intelligent, robust, and scalable digital manufacturing systems.
