Biography
David is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Strategy at Aston Business School. Having been a member of the teaching staff at Aston University since 2013, he has taught a range of subjects including Strategic Management, Marketing Strategy, Virtual Business Manager, Market Research, Marketing Management, and Retail Management.
His PhD is on strategic cognitive consensus and cognitive shifts during crises and has already published in The Leadership Quarterly as well as presenting at the Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, and Engaging Research for Business Transformation (EREBUS) conferences.
Formerly, a Strategic Marketing Executive whereby he helped develop and implement a business strategy for a company to tackle an increasingly competitive commissioning environment. This role also included the creation and management of the organisation’s first marketing team. Having worked in various business environments for several years he also possesses extensive experience in project and people management, market research and business consultancy.
His research interests lie in the areas of strategic cognition during crises, cognitive consensus, cognitive shifts, strategic change and the methods associated with causal cognitive mapping.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
