Dr Shuai Qin is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Entrepreneurship and Marketing in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and Research Development Lead at the Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME), Aston Business School. His research focuses on inclusive entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, inclusive innovation, and small business management and marketing, with a strong emphasis on action-based engaged scholarship. Shuai’s work has been published in several world-leading journals, including the Journal of Business Venturing, Business & Society, Psychology & Marketing, International Marketing Review, and Ethnic and Racial Studies.
He has secured multiple research grants as both Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, with funding from the British Academy, UKRI Innovate UK, and the Impact Accelerator Fund. His projects focus on themes such as generative AI for social good, inclusion in entrepreneurial ecosystems, and inclusive business support for marginalised communities. Shuai is also an active member of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE), where he serves as Co-chair of the Engaged Scholarship in Entrepreneurship Community of Interest. His research is deeply rooted in collaboration with practitioners, policymakers, and community organisations, advancing both theoretical understanding and societal impact.
