Biography
Farbod Khanizadeh is an assistant professor in Business Analytics in the Operations area at the Aston Business School. In 2013, he recieved his PhD in applied mathematics from University of Kent. Since the completion of his PhD degree, he has been working as a lecturer in academia and data scientist in industry. Farbod obtained extensive practical industry experience through collaboration with globally recognised brands in finance, insurance, oil and gas market. He is interested in projects and startups utilizing machine learning algorithms to develop AI based systems.
Besides research, Farbod has extensive experience teaching data mining and machine learning techniques to students at all levels (BSc, MSc and PhD) with broad range of backgrounds such as management, finance, business, economics, mathematics, engineering, medicine
