I joined Aston Business School in March 2018 as Lecturer in Strategic Management. Previously, I worked for three years as Research Associate in Management Science at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. I completed my PhD studies in 2014 in the area of Organisation Theory at the University of Strathclyde, where I had also undertaken all my undergraduate education in Business Management.

Research Interests

My research is concerned with the practice-based view of strategy and organisation and comprises two inter-related themes; Firstly, I aim to advance the understanding of knowledge and learning in practice, focusing on the implications of situated learning and communities of practice for contemporary organisations. Philosophically, my key inspirations are the writings of Polanyi, Bourdieu, and Heidegger. Secondly, I engage with the Strategy-as-Practice field to problematise the relationship between business and society as experienced in work practices. For example, my current projects include investigating the everyday work of sustainability professionals, the past and future of knowledge management, and the role of mobilising landscapes-of-practice for tackling grand challenges faced by societies. My research has been published in Human Relations, Management Learning, Group Decision and Negotiation, and Sustainable Cities and Society.
