    Biography

    Mershack Opoku Tetteh is a Lecturer in Construction Management at the School of Infrastructure and Sustainable Engineering, Aston University, Birmingham, UK. He earned a very competitive "Ph.D. scholarship" from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to study Real Estate and Construction Economics and graduated in October 2021. He attended Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana, where he earned a BSc in 2015 with First-class Honours and an MPhil with Distinction in Construction Management in 2018. He has published multiple research articles in varying disciplines and has over six years of experience tutoring construction management courses.

    Research Interests

    Dr. Mershack’s research interests cover a wide range in the area of construction engineering with a focus on construction project management and advanced technology applications. This includes international construction and management strategies; forming and building hybrid-oriented project-based partnershipsinternational construction joint ventures; contract management and administration; construction procurement and digital supply chain management; green and sustainable construction; transforming aged existing buildings to nearly Zero Energy Buildings; developing comprehensive models for complex infrastructure management processes; intelligent decision support systems for infrastructure design, construction, maintenance, and operation processes; modular and offsite construction; building information modeling; artificial intelligence, and other digital technologies - i.e. augmented reality, digital twin.
