Biography
I have been working at Aston since 1994. Until 2005 I was involved with managing, developing, and teaching on a range of programmes that have included the pre-sessional and in-sessional academic English courses for overseas students, language courses for foundation year students, communication skills courses for home students, and IELTS preparatory courses. I have also been teaching on teacher education courses ranging from the Certificate in TEFL course, to the distance learning Advanced Certificate in TEFL and Diploma in Professional TESOL Studies.
For a period of ten years I was the director of the on-campus MA in TESOL programme. I then took over the directorship role for English Language programmes at undergraduate level (2015-2020). I teach a range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
