I am a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Aston University. My research addresses core debates in British and European politics, political behaviour, representation, and party politics, with particular expertise in Muslim political participation and electoral behaviour. I have previously held research appointments at Aalborg University (Denmark), the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Sciences Po Paris (France), and the Institute for Human Sciences (Austria). I have taught in the UK (the University of Birmingham, the University of Bristol, the University of Bradford, and Aston University), in Pakistan (Lahore University of Management Sciences and the Karachi School of Business and Leadership), and in South Korea (the University of Seoul).
