Research Interests

My research interests are in the area of Ethnic Minority/Migrant Entrepreneurship; Social Entrepreneurship, Social innovation and Women's entrepreneurship.

Funding Applications and Awards

  • Awarded Santander funding of £5000/- to explore how the social capital of a community is leveraged in social innovation in the case study of a rural, community based enterprise- APROPESCA in the Cauca Region in Colombia.
  • Received £2000 from IKD, The Open University-Research Centre in Innovation, knowledge and development research centre for research on women’s empowerment through ICT based social innovation.  
  • Received £2000 from CIPM-Centre for International Management Practice, The Open University for research in social enterprises.   
  • Received National Level funding of £25,000 from UnLtd., for supporting social entrepreneurship teaching and student’s social enterprise development for Coventry university.
