Research Interests

My research takes place within the Ophthalmic Research Group and primarily concentrates on statistical analysis of visual field data and examination of structure-function relationships in central retinal eye disease; in particular, retinal oximetry, biometry and OCT. Perimetry methodologies currently being investigated are standard perimetry, short-wavelength automated perimetry (SWAP). I am also applying perimetry methodologies to examine the reproducibility of the Esterman binocular field test in patients with established visual field loss in the context of meeting the visual field requirements of the DVLA.

I also have an interest in ophthalmic lenses and dispensing and am investigating facial athropometry, specifically nasal development in normally developing children and children with Down's syndrome with the aim of achieving better design and fitting of spectacles.
