Biography
Xiuzhu (Eric) is a Lecturer in Marketing and Strategy at Aston Business School. Having been a member of the teaching staff at Aston University since 2021, he has taught a range of subjects including Development New Products and Services, Introductry Marketing, Introudction to Marketing Management, Virtual Business Simulation, Marketing Communications, Creating and Delivering Customer Value and Marketing Strategy.
His PhD is on entrepreneurial marketing and SME's marketing performance has already presenting at the Academy of Marketing and The Global Research Conference on Marketing and Entrepreneuriship (GRCME) conferences.
Formerly, a Marketing Campaign Executive whereby he helped develop and implement a series of marketing strategy for several Manchester-and Liverpool-based immigrated entrepreneurs and founder-owners to tackle an increasingly competitive commissioning environment. This role also included the positioning and re-branding, cutomer retention managment and creation social media channels and adveristings . Having worked in various business environments for several years he also possesses extensive experience in sales and market research and marketing consultancy.
His research interests lie in the areas of entrepreneurship and organisation's business perfornace, innovation in start-ups and new ventures, entreprenruial business model, entreprenerual characterstics, digital and social media associated with entrepreneurial organisation, serial entrepreneurship and inter-entreprenship.
He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) since 2023.
