General

Chris joined Aston Business School as a Lecturer in Economics in September 2018. Prior to that, he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Surrey, and as a research assistant at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has extensive experience in carrying out applied economics research and consultancy projects, for example, 'Economic impact and travel patterns of accessible tourism in Europe', 'Economic impact of Watts Gallery', 'Evaluating Hong Kong’s competitiveness as an international tourism destination' and 'The economic effects of visa regulations on the demand for China’s tourism'. His research has been published in internationally refereed journals, including Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, and Tourism Management.
