Abstract
The development of the banking system is a powerful tool for rapid economic development and economic growth. In the current economic conditions the increase of public confidence in the banks, through the development of national deposit guarantee system, is particularly relevant and important. The aim of study can be determined as the necessity to present characteristics of the sources of the Fund Deposit Guarantee and analysis of their use. The article presents the list of sources and areas of funds usage. It has been emphasized the dynamics of reimbursement and refund payments to depositors of insolvent banks. It has been analyzed the aim of the usage of deposit guarantee fund. The negative effects of borrowed resources and their monetization are pointed out. It has been indicated the bondage of Deposit Guarantee Fund in monetary and economic space. The operating expenses during the period of 2013-2015 are analyzed. The questions and comments on specific control over the use of financial resources of the Fund are discussed. Our study presents some recommendations how to improve the formation of the funds. The necessary to improve the deposit guarantee system in Ukraine is observed.
