~3.5 μm self-Q-switched Er3+:ZBLAN fiber laser stabilized by an ASE seeded pump source

Abstract

We report on a ~3.5 μm highly stable self-Q-switched Er3+:ZBLAN fiber laser based on a temporally stable ASE seeded pump source. The pulsing dynamics are carefully investigated which can help facilitate their potential applications.
