Abstract

Here, for the first time to the best of our knowledge, we demonstrate multi-channel Bi-doped fibre amplifier. The 4-channel amplifier (1.43, 1.45, 1.47 and 1.49 µm central wavelengths) comprised 320-m long piece of a Bi-doped fibre diode-pumped at 1.305 µm with maximal pump power of 450 mW. The maximum gain reached 27.8 dB at 1.43 µm.
