Abstract

We propose an 800-Gb/s transponder design based on joint sub-band processing and subcarrier multiplexing. To mitigate sub-band crosstalk without pre-calibration, we numerically demonstrate that a receiver-side 4×4 multi-input multi-output equalizer can be used with negligible penalty in the case of 14.1-dB single sideband suppression ratios.
