Abstract

Knowledge has become one of the most important resources of any organization, and the effective management and utilization of knowledge is a key factor for increasing the competitiveness of a company. Organizational memory is crucial to the accumulation of the organizational knowledge and the training of the staff. This paper studies how to achieve an effective knowledge management in the network environment. We introduce the organizational memory concept to the construction of an organizational knowledge management system and design a Web knowledge service system architecture based on memory space. We further design the system components in detail, including the knowledge portal and knowledge services, the composition and operation model of the memory space, the organization and storage of knowledge. An application of the system design shows the effectiveness of the system.
