All-optical clock division at 40 GHz using semiconductor optical amplifier based nonlinear interferometer

Abstract

All-optical clock division of a 40GHz pulse train is demonstrated, using a semiconductor optical amplifier based nonlinear interferometer with feedback. The dynamical evolution of the clock divided train is also observed.
