Abstract
This chapter intends to provide an overview of the role of the Digital Twin in Urban Planning. It explores the transformative potential of Digital Twin Technologies in addressing the multifaceted challenges of urban energy management and sustainability. It examines the requirements and implications of Digital Twin Technologies in consumer energy services. A hypothetical framework is proposed for monitoring and controlling energy services, integrating renewable energy sources with advanced technologies to optimise energy usage and promote sustainability in residential and urban areas.
