    Abstract

We propose an asynchronous-digital-optical-regenerator by using a single EAM-loop with neighbour-combine-gate approach. It effectively regenerates signal with high amplitude fluctuation, re-shapes and re-times pulses for 4 × 40Gb/s WDM to 160Gb/s OTDM conversion.
