Abstract

Since 2021/22, Aston Pharmacy School has provided Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training1 to third-year undergraduate pharmacy students. Anecdotal feedback suggests that students find the training valuable, and international evidence supports its effectiveness in reducing mental health stigma while improving knowledge and confidence2,3. Aligned to the CMHP golden threads, MHFA training contributes to inclusive care, equipping future pharmacists with skills to respond appropriately to mental health needs.
