Abstract

Absorption and luminescence spectra of MCVD Bi-doped aluminosilicate core optical fibres were studied at 300 and 77 K. It was theoretically shown that spectroscopic features can be assigned to Bi ⁵⁺ and Bi ¹⁺ ions.
