Abstract

Optically pumped semiconductor disk lasers with antiresonant design based on Stranski-Krastanow-grown quantum dots are demonstrated to extend the spectral coverage of such type of devices up to 1250 nm. A continuous wave output power up to 1.6 W was achieved using an intracavity diamond heat spreader. Intracavity birefringent filter was used to tune the wavelength of the device in 25 nm range.
