Abstract
An integrative framework is proposed to generate a more complete picture of strategic foresight as an organizing capability in high-velocity environments.
Our unifying framework unpacks strategic foresight not only as a process, method, or practice, but also as an embedded organizing capability that enables organizations to cope with the future.
These capabilities come together to serve as a nexus for the enactment everyday of ‘foresightful’ activities and practices that enable an organization to create and capture value in fast-moving environments characterized by complexity and uncertainty.
Such an integrative framework represents an important step in developing testable constructs and hypotheses that could help the transition of strategic foresight research to theory testing.
