Abstract
A 40 Gbit/s OTDM signal is simultaneously wavelength converted over 10 nm and demultiplexed to 10 Gbit/s by a data driven semiconductor amplifier loop mirror. The regeneratively configured switch demonstrated negligible sensitivity to the data polarisation. Interchannel crosstalk arising from a finite switch extinction ratio was significantly reduced by using an appropriate probe signal.
