Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of teaching increasing diverse cohorts of students in higher education. It describes the development of IntLMS, an Intelligent Learning Management System, which provides a personalized, semi automated learning environment catering for a diverse body of students in an English Language college. The system sets personalization at the learning outcome level, allowing students to achieve learning outcomes for a course at their own speed. A social networking subsystem also enhances the student experience by creating a more supportive learning environment.
