Fiber laser with enhanced modelocking using a carbon nanotube-filled micro-slot saturable absorber

Abstract

We propose a robust, compact, low-loss saturable absorber consisting of a liquid core waveguide, engraved in an optical fiber and filled with carbon nanotubes. Enhanced modelocking in an all-fiber configuration is achieved.
