N2 - We describe a wavelength-addressed eight-element fibre-optic true time delay line implemented using ultraviolet-inscribed Bragg gratings. A mininum time delay of less than 20 ps is selectable, and the delay line is applicable to rf phased array beam forming at frequencies up to about 1·5 GHz with 10° phase resolution.
