Abstract

A fibre optic bandpass transversal filter employing fibre grating arrays is presented. The demonstrated device allows bandpass filtering frequency response tuning by changing the operating wavelength to select the operating fibre gratings. The improved frequency response of the filter is obtained by weighting the reflections of the gratings.
