Abstract
A chirped Bragg grating fibre external cavity semiconductor laser is hybridly modelocked to generate light pulses with perfectly linear wavelength chirp, resulting in Fourier-transform-limited 2.5 ps pulses incorporated with subsequent chirp compensation. The setup facilitates wavelength tunability across the whole grating bandwidth (15 nm) by changing the modulation frequency
