From fragmented knowledge to collective wisdom: Jigsaw 4.0 as a catalyst for inclusive learning in the operations management classroom

This paper proposes Jigsaw 4.0 as a new approach combining the Jigsaw methodology, Education 4.0 and Industry 4.0 to supplement traditional operations management teaching and learning methods. Traditional operations management education often relies on lectures, static case studies, and individual assessments to convey complex concepts such as quality control, process optimization, and continuous improvement. While these methods can deliver foundational knowledge, they frequently fall short in fostering deep engagement, tool mastery, and inclusive participation particularly among students from non-technical backgrounds, and those unfamiliar with statistical analysis.
