Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate and simulate a novel technique employing pump polarisation to improve/flatten a one-pump FOPA gain spectrum by as much as 2 dB from peak and to enable ultraflat (<0.5 dB gain variation) operation over >100 nm gain bandwidth.
