Abstract
An analysis of financial globalization's processes and factors, their impact on the development of the national banking system of Ukraine has been made. The definition "banking system" within the context of globalization processes has been clarified from the viewpoint of identification factors of the banking system itself including institutional and functional approach to determine the banking system.
