Abstract

In today’s economy, to achieve objectives of Supply Chain Management (SCM), supply chain partners need to work in an integrated manner which necessitate the exchange of strategic information. Developments in Information technology have enabled complex information exchange, and recent advances in social media are increasingly being utilized for improved supply chain performance. The purpose of this study is to generate an understanding on the role of social media in building long-term relationships and trust, and to observe if such relationships enable strategic information exchange.
