N2 - A linear cavity picosecond Er-fiber laser, which was passively and harmonically mode-locked with SESAM, is demonstrated. The advantage of the proposed configuration is the fast tuning of the pulse repetition rate in the range from tens of MHz to 1 GHz, realized by varying the pump power without any additional adjustment of the polarization.
