Optically tunable dispersion compensator based on coupled-cavity etalon structure

Abstract

We demonstrate for the first time an optically tunable dispersion compensator, which is based on pumping a coupled-cavity etalon made in Er/Yb co-doped fiber. The dispersion was tuned from -300 to +400ps/nm in the experiment.
