Abstract

Over the past few years, I have been interested in all things cryopreservation, from how it challenges our binary understanding of life and death to its potential socio-political ramifications within affluent nations and beyond. Consequently, you could only imagine my joy when I became aware of the imminent publication of a book examining cryopreservation’s legal, philosophical, and financial implications. Having just finished The Law of Cryonics, however, I am disappointed. The book is replete with arguments and points that, when combined, lack coherence and, when examined independently, offer few novel insights into this evolving field of inquiry...
