Role of Dispersion Slope in Fiber Optical Parametric Amplifiers

Abstract

We demonstrate that employment of gain fibers with low dispersion slope in fiber optical parametric amplifiers reduces the incurred error vector magnitude by up to 4.9 dB via mitigation of the impact of the pump phase modulation.
