Simulation of acousto-optical modulation of fiber bragg gratings in suspended core fibe

Abstract

The interaction between acoustic waves and Bragg gratings is numerically investigated for suspended core fibers. A side lobe reflectivity increase of 28% compared to standard fibers is obtained, indicating possibilities for more efficient optical modulators.
