Abstract
In-fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) are currently being evaluated as sensors for a variety of applications, such as structural health monitoring of bridges [1], strain monitoring in advanced composites [2,3] and temperature changes inside the human body when subjected to treatment such as laser ablation [4].
