Spectral filtering highly-chirped pulses in all-normal dispersion fiber lasers

    Abstract

    We present a theory for the generation of ultra-short, high-energy pulses in an all-normal dispersion laser cavity with spectral filtering. The theory gives a geometrical description of the intracavity dynamics for optimizing laser performance.
