Abstract
The utilization of market intermediaries to identify and recruit top talent is essential in winning the global talent race.
In the existing literature, there are two different pictures of how firms can employ social networks in their recruitment of top talent: talent brokers and informal ties.
Firms seeking to diffuse job information should utilize their limited resources to identify central connectors rather than chasing every employee to pass on the information.
There is a need to incorporate the skills of building networks into our education system, in addition to mainstream courses such as marketing, finance, and economics.
